Real Estate During COVID-19
On March 18, 2020, the British Columbia government declared a state of emergency in the province due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. On June 24, 2020, the BC Government commenced Phase 3 of the province's Restart Plan.On July 7, 2020, industry leaders and regulators announced an agreement to allow REALTORS across the province to conduct Open Houses. We were provided guidelines and understanding of liability along with this announcement. We are instructed to advise and protect our clients according to these guidelines when considering hosting an open house.
At the time of this publication, Richert+Associates is recommending against Open Houses for the safety and health of our clients. It is our professional opinion that the primary benefit of an Open House at this time is for the salesperson and not the client.
We are following strict COVID-19 protocols that include wearing masks at all showings and either wearing gloves or properly sanitizing hands, while refraining from touching as many surfaces as possible.
We have adapted our market as well to best serve our clients. Please inquire within for the most up to date marketing strategies.
